From Italy to Iceland: 10 most beautiful beaches in Europe

The prestigious travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler has published a ranking of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. The result is very interesting and we were surprised by some places. Judge for yourself and maybe thanks to our article you will find a perfect beach for your next vacation. Fly with us towards the sun.

1. Cala Goloritzé – Sardinia, Italy

Cala Goloritzé is one of the most famous Italian beaches. Where else could it be if not in Sardinia? Limestones and snow-white sand were also appreciated by UNESCO in 1995. You can only get here on foot. If you like walking, going to this beach with unique rocks will be an unforgettable experience for you.

2. Cala Macarella – Balearics, Spain

The second largest Balearic island is very different from Mallorca or Ibiza. The beach is not easy to reach. You can either take a three-kilometre hike from the nearby Cala Galdana beach along the sea, or drive from Ciutadella, park the car and walk the rest of the way through the pine forest. But there is another way to get here, and that is by boat. If you have done everything successfully, you will be rewarded with a fantastic beach and crystal clear water.

3. Navagio – Zakynthos, Greece

Navagio is obviously the most famous and photogenic beach in Greece and is located on the Zakynthos island. Crystal clear water, white beach and large stone cliffs. The only thing missing for perfection is the wreck of a pirate ship. Wait, there is one there.

4. Île Vierge – Brittany, France

The beaches of the Brittany region are not as well known and famous as the beaches of the Côte d’Azur (Azure Coast), but there is something magical about this place. What do you think?

5. Vík – Iceland

Now who would have said it? Yes, Iceland also has exceptional beaches and it would be a sin not to mention at least one of them in our ranking. You won’t find any palm trees here, but the color of the sand will amaze you.

6. Zlatni Rat – Brač, Croatia

Probably the most popular and most beautiful beach in Croatia. Unfortunately, you will not be able to swim alone in the sea there, as this place is very popular among both locals and tourists. Although the beach is crowded with tourists, it does not lose its beauty.

7. Praia da Marinha – Algarve, Portugal

The most photogenic beach in Portugal? Its name is Praia da Marinha. With its typical rocky coast, golden sand and gorgeous color of the water, it enchants all of Europe. This beach is also popular thanks to its sea caves and ideal conditions for diving.

8. Marasusa – Tropea, Italy

Marasusa Beach is located in the picturesque town Tropea in the southern Italian region Calabria. The coast has literally been given a divine nickname – La Costa degli Dei, meaning Coast of the Gods.

9. Myrtos – Kefalonia, Greece

The way to this beach is steeper, but the reward is a beautiful beach surrounded by stone cliffs in the shape of a semicircle. Thanks to these stone cliffs, Myrtos beach is the most beautiful scenery of the Kefalonia island.

10. Studland Bucht – Dorset, England

Studland is 4 miles of pristine sandy beaches that aren’t found anywhere else. A unique combination of sandy dunes and rocky coastline in the county of Dorset, England.
